Man intentionally run over in hit-and-run

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A man was found lifeless early Monday morning on a St. Petersburg street, the victim of a hit-and-run incident, local law enforcement reported. The St. Petersburg Police Department received a call close to 2:45 a.m. regarding an adult male lying at a street intersection.

Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene. Despite their efforts, the man’s injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead on the spot, as per police reports.

The victim was later identified as 35-year-old Taiwan James Gland, as stated in the official press release.

Initial investigations led by the police revealed that Gland was struck by an unidentified vehicle. Further investigation has led the authorities to treat the incident as a potential homicide, as detectives believe the driver hit Gland intentionally.
