MARION, OH – A safety worker was run over by a monster truck during an event at the Marion County Fairgrounds Coliseum in Ohio this past weekend. Bearing witness to this horrific scene of a 56-year-old man under a monster truck led to a distress call at around 8 p.m. last Sunday to the first responders.
Officers from both the Marion City Fire Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the accident site. The injured safety worker was initially transported to Marion General Hospital, only to be flown out later to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. However, there has been no word regarding the condition of the injured man.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident. They assured in their statement that they will disclose further details when they surface.
