Woman killed in stabbing boy ages 7 and 12 apprehended

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Two young boys from Texas were apprehended on Saturday following an incident where a woman was critically wounded due to a stabbing, as per official reports.

The incident took place at a home located on April Valley Court in the northwestern region of Harris County shortly after 2 p.m., as stated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The boys, aged seven and 12, reportedly returned to the residence subsequent to a possible verbal altercation with the woman, who is 59 years old. After the stabbing incident, the children left the scene, and the woman was airlifted to a hospital, as per the information shared by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on social platforms.

“Based on the information I’ve collected, it seems to have been a verbal disagreement,” shared Sergio Torres, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, with KPRC-TV.

Torres further explained, “The woman appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds in her abdominal area. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she is currently undergoing surgery and is in a critical state.”

At this point, it remains uncertain which of the two boys is suspected of stabbing the woman. Local news outlets have reported that the 12-year-old boy may face charges, but this information has not yet been verified by the sheriff’s office.
