Three killed in hit-and-run during meet-up

HICKORY HILL, TN – A devastating hit-and-run accident on Hickory Hill Road has left three people dead and a community in shock. Police are currently searching for the drivers of six vehicles believed to be involved in the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Hickory Hill Road and Sunday Morning Drive.

The scene of the crash is littered with remnants of the collision, including car parts and sections of a damaged brick fence. Authorities have yet to determine how the six vehicles were involved but confirmed that all fled the scene after the crash.

One of the victims, Lelle Boyd, 50, was a cherished former teacher at Sherwood Elementary School. Her cousin, Dwayne Lewis, described her as a dedicated educator who had a profound love for children. “She was a natural giver and loved her students dearly,” Lewis said, mourning her loss.

Boyd was accompanied by a male passenger, who also perished in the crash. In addition to the three fatalities, five individuals, including a child, were transported to the hospital with injuries.
