BOYNTON BEACH, FL – Days after a chilling double homicide rocked a 55-plus retirement community, the manhunt for the suspect has come to a grim conclusion. Boynton Beach police announced the discovery of the body of Alexander Daniels, 32, in Delray Beach, just three miles from the crime scene.
Officers found Daniels with a self-inflicted gunshot wound near train tracks behind an office complex off Lake Ida Road. This discovery ends a tense search that left local residents on edge.
Daniels, originally from Texas, was implicated in the murders of Freddie and Allison, both 63, who were found dead in their Boynton Beach home. Daniels had been temporarily staying with the couple, though the nature of their relationship remains unclear.
The police, on alert since Monday, had warned the community that Daniels was armed and dangerous. Despite the suspect’s death, questions linger about the events leading up to the violent incident.
Boynton Beach Police Chief expressed gratitude to the U.S. Marshals and community members, noting that the information and video provided were crucial in locating Daniels.
The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the timeline of events and uncover the motive behind the tragic killings.
As the story unfolds, officials promise to keep the public updated with any new developments.
