Music producer killed by homeless woman

SANTA MONICA, CA – A renowned music producer was fatally shot in Santa Monica, California, on Thursday, with police arresting a homeless woman in connection to the incident. The Santa Monica Police Department received a distress call about a shooting incident in the 2600 block of 29th Street at around 10:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, later identified as Edward Williams III, 46, in his car and rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, the music producer succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, as announced by the Santa Monica PD at around 3 p.m.

The following day, the police department disclosed that the alleged shooter was a homeless woman, 27-year-old Kayla Mackey. Witnesses reported that Williams was sitting in his car, wearing headphones when the incident occurred. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

Williams, a father of two young boys, was a respected figure in the music industry. He owned a small recording studio in Hollywood, rogue.black studios, and had collaborated with notable artists such as Travis Scott and Lil Cobaine.
