Former Georgia police officer arrested for concealing death of missing teenager

Former Doraville Police Officer Miles Bryant, 22, was arrested and charged with concealing the death of 16-year-old Susana Morales, who was reported missing last July.

The Gwinnett County Police have charged Bryant with false reporting of a crime as well.

Morales’ remains were discovered last week in the area between Drowning Creek and Barrow County after an anonymous call. Her phone confirmed that she was walking to her home, but detectives suspect that she entered a vehicle.

The Gwinnett Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation, and Bryant is being held at the Gwinnett Detention Center without bond.

Bryant is set to make his first court appearance on Tuesday. The City of Doraville and its Police Department are cooperating fully with the investigation.
