Extensive search underway for 9-year-old girl who may be kidnapped

MOREAU LAKE STATE PARK, NY – A large-scale search operation is currently in progress for a 9-year-old girl, Charlotte Sena, who is suspected to have been kidnapped from Moreau Lake State Park in New York. Sena was last seen around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday at Loop A of the park, wearing an orange tie-dye Pokémon t-shirt, dark blue trousers, black Crocs, and a gray bicycle helmet, according to the New York State Police.

Sena, a Caucasian girl with blonde hair, stands at 5-foot-1 and weighs about 90 pounds. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has expressed grave concern for her safety, stating that the circumstances of her disappearance suggest she may be in immediate danger of serious harm or even death.

The young girl was reported missing from her family’s campsite at Moreau Lake State Park. She was on a camping trip with her family and vanished after she went for a bike ride in the park, according to local news reports. The authorities were alerted to her disappearance around 6:45 p.m. Her bicycle was later found, but it remains unclear whether it was discovered by her family or the first responders.

State Police Troop G Public Information Officer Stephanie O’Neil described Sena as a highly intelligent and adventurous child. However, she stressed that this kind of behavior is uncharacteristic of the 9-year-old. Sena hails from Saratoga County, and the search for her involves multiple agencies employing helicopters, bloodhounds, K-9 units, air boats, and ATVs.
