DUI crash kills three women

POMONA, CA – A devastating vehicular accident, instigated by a driver under the influence, has claimed the lives of three women in Pomona, while leaving three others in a critical condition. The deadly crash transpired at the intersection of White Avenue and Phillips Boulevard late last night.

First responders at the scene reported that all victims had been subjected to varying degrees of injuries, from moderate to severe. Despite the immediate medical assistance provided by the Pomona Police Department and L.A. County Fire Department, two passengers failed to survive their injuries at the scene. Another victim later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital, while the remaining three are currently under medical care.

Early reports suggest that five of the six victims, all females, were traveling in the same vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Victor Siharath, 36, of Pomona, was the only occupant.

Officers who interacted with Siharath at the scene determined that he was impaired. Video evidence shows Siharath performing a sobriety test near the crash site. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical attention and later arrested for felony DUI.
