Woman discovered dead on pro sports complex

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A shocking event unfolded at Xfinity Live!, a popular sports bar in the Philadelphia sports complex, when a 48-year-old woman was found dead in the early hours of Saturday. She was discovered hanging from an iron gate at the venue, which has been a favored spot for sports fans since its opening in 2012.

The woman, according to reports, had been attempting to climb a fence or gate outside the bar around 2 a.m. The details of her death are distressing, as she was impaled through the leg and was left hanging on the fence for an estimated five hours before being found and removed.

Tanya Little, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department, stated that the woman’s injuries on her legs and feet matched the characteristics of the gate. Little also confirmed that no other signs of trauma were found and there is no suspicion of foul play at this time.

Following the discovery of the woman, she was rushed to Methodist Hospital, which is located approximately a mile away from the scene. Despite the quick response, she was declared dead at the hospital at 8:45 a.m.

The night of the incident, the 76ers were hosting the New York Knicks at the complex. Xfinity Live!, a favored spot for Philadelphia sports fans, closes its doors at 2 a.m.

As of now, Xfinity Live! has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
