Veteran neutralizes man waving knife at customers inside Walmart

A South Carolina Walmart employee reported seeing a man waving a knife around, but before the Richland County Sheriff’s Department could respond, a veteran subdued him.

Walmart employees and shoppers told deputies the man was waving the pocket knife around and threatening them.

Video shows one shopper knocking the man over the head, forcing him to drop the knife.

As I was at the checkout, my son noticed a man with a knife open. In response, he waved the knife at a few female employees at the service desk. They ran away from him. “I asked a female employee where security was, and she said she was,” Davis told Fox News Digital. While I was walking towards the area where the man waving the knife was terrorizing other customers and employees, he yelled out “when the cops get here, I’ll start cutting you up.”

“A customer tried to subdue the man waving the knife, but he was cut in the face by him. As a result of my military training, I casually walked over to the object to not only take him down, but also protect myself. As a result of my great military training, I neutralized the threat until law enforcement arrived,” Davis told Fox News Digital.

“My first instinct was to neutralize the situation, so I simply walked over and waited until I had an opportunity to get him. I’m a community person, so if I see something in the community that’s not right, with all the violence and things and attacks going on, gun violence, I want my members of the community to take action as well. ” Davis added the cops couldn’t handle everything on their own.

“For my brave act and quick response, I’ve received so many heartfelt comments from civilians and veterans,” Davis told Fox.
