Three dead, one injured after head-on crash between siblings

On Saturday, tragedy struck the small town of Freedom in western New York. A devastating head-on collision between two siblings resulted in three fatalities and one individual being hospitalized with serious injuries.

Dahlia J. Klink, 24, was driving a vehicle when her younger brother, Evan R. Klink, 21, crossed the centerline in his pickup truck and crashed into her. Two backseat passengers in Dahlia’s car, 6-year-old Molly Kibler and 17-year-old Havanah S. Lopez, were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a 4-year-old who also rode in Dahlia’s vehicle, was taken to a nearby hospital for serious injuries.

Evan R. Klink, driver of the other vehicle, was reportedly treated for minor bruises and then taken to a state police station for evaluation. Authorities are still awaiting further word from a 19-year-old passenger in Evan’s car, Cameron Klink, who was airlifted to a medical facility with serious injuries.

Tragically, Dahlia J. Klink succumbed to her wounds on Sunday night, becoming the third fatality of the crash. A thorough investigation of the incident is still underway it is suspected that Evan intentionally crossed the middle line, lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into his sisters car.
