Texas mom shot after making complaints about neighbor’s loud music

A dramatic incident unfolded in a residential area of San Antonio, Texas, when a dispute over loud music resulted in a mother of three being shot in the chest. One of her children made a life-saving call to 911 after the incident took place.

Late in the night, around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, the 31-year-old mother approached her upstairs neighbor. She confronted the neighbor about the loud volume of their music.

The encounter, however, devolved into a disagreement that escalated in the parking lot. An unidentified assailant, reportedly a visitor and not the neighbor involved in the dispute, shot the woman in the chest before fleeing the scene.

Despite her injuries, the mother managed to return home. Her young children, aged between 3 and 8, witnessed the horrifying aftermath. They were heard on the emergency call, crying and expressing confusion about why their mother had been shot.

After emergency services arrived, the mother was transported to a nearby hospital. Medical officials reported her in stable condition. Meanwhile, the children have been temporarily placed in the care of a family member, as informed by authorities.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Local police conducted a search of the neighbor’s home, but no firearm was recovered. While the suspected shooter was not the neighbor himself, both the neighbor and the visitor are currently sought by the police. Their identities remain undisclosed.
