Suspect on the run after murdering man in broad daylight attack

Police are investigating the murder of Brooklyn man who has been murdered in a broad daylight attack.

According to witnesses, the shooter took aim at the man, striking him multiple times in the chest without uttering a single word. The incident took place on a Wednesday morning, and the pain and confusion is palpable on the city block where the 36-year-old victim was fatally shot.

While the authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the victim, friends portray him as a loving father to a 1-year-old boy. The victims’ friends have expressed confusion over what could have motivated such a violent act.

According to local residents, the victim was about to move his black Honda Accord from a no-parking zone at the intersection of Nostrand and Gates avenues when the attacker walked up to him shortly before 7:30 in the morning.

An anonymous eyewitness said that they heard the first gunshot. Then, they looked out the window in time to see the second shot hit the victim.

Despite the victim falling, the attacker fired three more times. The observer indicated that the victim seemed to be specifically targeted, as there was no apparent argument or disagreement prior to the shooting.

While shooting incidents in New York City have decreased in comparison to the previous year, there has been a recent spike in violence. From Saturday to Monday, 27 people were shot, a significant increase from the 15 victims during the same period the previous year.

The authorities have yet to make an arrest. According to local authorities, the suspect in the attack fled the scene on foot.
