Police find woman fatally stabbed by ex-boyfriend

LOWER MAKEFIELD TWP., PA – Law enforcement in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, responded to a dreadful incident where a woman was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend. Officers responded to a burglary call received at around 3 p.m. on Friday. When they arrived at the scene, they found Trevor Weigel, 23, apparently stabbing his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend. The violent scene was taking place outside her residence in Lower Makefield Township.

Authorities pronounced the young lady dead on the spot. Neither her name nor further details have been released. Upon witnessing the violent incident, officers pursued Weigel, who eluded capture by fleeing to the I-295 area.

When law enforcement finally tracked down the suspect, he was reportedly stabbing himself in the neck. To minimize further injuries, they deployed a Taser to subdue him before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

The aftermath of the gruesome incident left neighbors in shock, as a large portion of the neighborhood was cordoned off for investigation. The sudden violent death of the young woman left the typically quiet neighborhood reeling.

The suspect, who survived surgery for life-threatening injuries, remains under the watch of authorities. In unraveling the motives of the stabbing incident, investigators are digging into Weigel’s criminal records, which currently only reveal traffic violations in Bucks County.
