Man shot to death at Foot Locker store

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – Authorities have detained two individuals in connection with a deadly shooting inside a Foot Locker store at The Shops at Iverson. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon and resulted in the death of 24-year-old Dominique Hodge from Washington, D.C.

The apprehended suspects are Andres Rodriguez-Corona, 19, from Waldorf, Maryland, and Carl Sanders, 22, from Washington, D.C. They face charges related to Hodge’s murder. A third suspect involved in the crime remains at large, and police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate this individual.

The crime scene unfolded on Branch Avenue, where officers found Hodge with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the site, though other patrons and employees in the store were unharmed.

Shortly after the incident, officers observed three individuals resembling the suspects’ descriptions, walking approximately half a mile away. When approached, the group fled, but Rodriguez-Corona was captured, and a handgun was seized from him.

Later that night, Sanders was arrested during a traffic stop near 28th Avenue and St. Barnabas Road in Temple Hills. Officers discovered two ghost guns- firearms lacking serial numbers- inside the vehicle.

Investigators believe Hodge was deliberately targeted by his assailants, yet the specific motive behind the attack remains unclear. Rodriguez-Corona faces charges of murder and other related offenses, while Sanders is charged with numerous firearms violations. Both suspects are now in police custody.

The investigation continues as authorities urge anyone with information about the third suspect to come forward, hoping to swiftly resolve the case and deliver justice.
