COMPTON, CA – In a shocking turn of events, a Compton resident, believed to be involved in the breeding of pit bulls, was fatally mauled in his backyard. This information was confirmed by Los Angeles County authorities on Friday.
The victim, a 35-year-old man whose name has not been made public yet, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday night. His lifeless body was found by his girlfriend in the kennel area of their property on Friday morning, prompting her to immediately contact the authorities.
The Sheriff’s Department reports suggest that the man was feeding the dogs when an unexpected brawl among the animals took place. This violent dispute rapidly escalated, resulting in the dogs attacking their owner and causing his tragic death.
Upon investigating the scene, authorities discovered a total of 13 dogs, including eight puppies, on the premises. This has led to speculation that the man might have been breeding and selling pit bulls.
In the aftermath of the incident, the dogs have been taken into custody by county animal control officials for further proceedings.
