HYATTSVILLE, MD – Police in Maryland have released photos of suspects and their vehicle suspected to be involved in a daylight murder of a garbage collector last week. The victim, 30-year-old Idongesit Udosen, was fatally shot in the Greenvale Parkway area of Hyattsville around 3:40 pm on Thursday, April 4.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, responding officers found Udosen suffering from gunshot wounds on the roadside. He was declared dead at the scene.
The department released images of the yet-to-be-identified suspects and footage of the car used during the killing. The suspects’ vehicle appears to be a grey Kia sedan.
The video shows the car driving around Greenvale Parkway before the shooting, reversing into a vacant slot on the street next to a parked van and three garbage cans. The footage reveals two suspects exiting the vehicle and shooting at Udosen who had arrived in a garbage truck. They then fled the scene.
While detectives are still trying to determine a motive, they believe that the shooting wasn’t a random act. For information leading to an arrest and an indictment in this case, a reward of up to $25,000 has been offered.
