Four dead after murder-suicide rampage

HOUSTON, TX – A violent spree on the southwest side of Houston has left four people dead, including the shooter, in what authorities describe as a series of targeted attacks. The incident began with a tragic road rage shooting in Sugarland, where a woman was fatally shot near Derry Ashford and Highway 90.

Police have confirmed that the suspect was in a relationship with the woman he killed, suggesting the attack was not random. Shortly after, Houston police were called to a second location a few miles northeast along US Highway 90. There, two men were shot at auto body shops situated across the street from each other.

Surveillance footage, reviewed by authorities but withheld from the public, shows the shooter exiting his vehicle and pursuing one of the men before firing multiple shots. The victim was killed in what investigators describe as a deliberate act.

The woman, found inside a bullet-riddled SUV, succumbed to her injuries despite the efforts of witnesses and officers who attempted life-saving measures. The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m., with the suspect identified as her partner.

Approximately an hour later, the same suspect targeted two men at auto shops near Fondren and Main Street in Houston. Witnesses reported seeing a gray Ford Escape, matching the description from the earlier incident, involved in an altercation with a mechanic. The suspect shot the mechanic as he attempted to flee.

As another individual filmed the scene, the suspect turned and fired, killing the bystander. The shooter was later discovered dead inside his vehicle near Fondren and Creek Bend Drive, having sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Families of the victims gathered at the scene, overwhelmed with grief and seeking answers. The owner of one of the auto shops and an employee from the neighboring shop were among those killed, leaving the community in mourning.

As investigators piece together the events, questions remain about the motives behind the attacks. Authorities continue to investigate, promising to provide updates as more information becomes available.
