Decomposing bodies found inside Texas home during wellness check

A woman’s concern for her unresponsive relatives led to a horrifying discovery inside a residence in Texas. Police initially responded to the scene after the relative did a welfare check at the home in Lewisville, Texas. Police discovered the decomposing bodies of two individuals. While the identities of the victims and the cause of their deaths have not been released, the incident is being treated as a double homicide. Authorities have also made an arrest concerning the double homicide that occurred on Monday, August 14th.

The Lewisville Police Department revealed that the bodies of a Hispanic man and woman were found in separate rooms of the Ramblewood Drive home, where they had been for several days. Police initially believed the incident to be isolated and have been actively investigating leads. On Wednesday, a man was taken into custody and criminally charged. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect is awaiting arraignment.

The concerned relative decided to visit her relatives’ home on Monday after being unable to contact them for several days. Lewisville Police Department stated that the suspect had been charged with Capital Murder and was apprehended without incident. As the investigation continues, the police have refrained from disclosing the suspect’s identity. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has yet to determine the cause of death for the victims.

Neighbor Danny Talbert described the chilling scene. He mentioned the odor of decomposing bodies that wafted through the air when the garage door was open. Retha Welch, a long-time resident of Ramblewood Drive, expressed shock and disbelief that the killings took place in their town. Lewisville, a city located near Dallas and Fort Worth, is situated on a picturesque lake.

The authorities have not provided a timeline for identifying the suspect or releasing the victims’ cause of death. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are diligently working to gather more information.
