Alligator killed after reports it had human body parts in its mouth

RIDGECEST, FL – A massive 13-foot alligator was euthanized by Florida authorities after it was spotted carrying human remains last Friday. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reported that they were alerted to a body in a local waterway near 134th Avenue North and 121st Street in Ridgecrest, Florida, as per local news outlet FOX 13.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assisted in the operation, ensuring the alligator was euthanized in a humane manner. Blood was visible in the vicinity of the creature. A local resident, JaMarcus Bullard, told Spectrum Bay News 9 that he had seen a body in the alligator’s jaws.

Bullard recounted his experience, saying, “I could discern a body in its mouth, so I began filming. I then went to the fire department and reported what I had seen.” The incident left many in the community shocked, including Terri Williams, a visitor to the area at the time.

Williams expressed her disbelief, stating, “I would’ve never imagined an alligator in this area. I’m aware there’s a lake across the street, and I know about the lake in Taylor Park, but not in this neighborhood. I would have never thought that.”

The sheriff’s office has yet to release additional details about the incident. The presence of the alligator and the discovery of human remains have left the community in a state of shock and unease.
