Woman killed by robbers after being followed from nearby bank

ARLINGTON, TX – A 56-year-old woman was brutally killed outside Pho Son Nam Vietnamese Restaurant in Arlington on Friday morning, according to the local police. At approximately 10 a.m., responding officers discovered the victim’s body on the ground following a 911 call reporting a physical altercation between a woman and a man near the restaurant.

Police officials suggest the assailant likely followed the victim, who was an employee at the restaurant, from a nearby bank. After robbing her, the attacker allegedly knocked her to the ground and ran over her with his vehicle while fleeing the scene. Jeannette Flores, a long-time friend of the victim, was among the first people to lay flowers near the restaurant as a tribute to her friend.

Flores fondly recalled the woman as kind-hearted and generous. “I’ve been knowing her for years. We’d get out of church and come here every Sunday,” she said. Describing her as a ‘godly person’, Flores told the heartwarming story about how the victim would allow customers to repay their meals later when they didn’t have cash and the restaurant’s machine was not working.

As the community mourns the ill-timed loss, the police are diligently seeking information about the culprit and his vehicle. However, at this particular moment, they do not have a detailed description of either the suspect or his car.

Police authorities have yet to release the name of the victim and are inviting anyone with useful information about the incident to reach out to them.
