Two people shot in gas station fight

SAN DIEGO, CA – A violent altercation at a local gas station escalated into a gunfight between two individuals, a juvenile and an adult male. The fight left both of them in critical condition.

According to Lieutenant Cody Turner of the San Diego police, each participant fired their weapon during the conflict, resulting in both sustaining gunshot wounds.

The two parties fled the scene following the exchange of gunfire. Shortly afterward, police discovered a collision between a car and a box truck a few blocks away. It is believed that the car was transporting the juvenile and two others when it collided head-on with the truck.

Emergency responders transported the juvenile to a nearby hospital, while the adult male shooter was taken to a medical facility by a bystander who found him following the crash.

Both individuals suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and were placed on ventilators, yet were deemed stable by late morning, according to Lt. Turner.

At the scene of the initial incident, investigators recovered several bullet casings and noted bullet damage to a building. Additionally, a witness’s vehicle was hit by gunfire, resulting in a flat tire.

The San Diego police department is now investigating the sequence of events and is seeking assistance from the public. They are urging anyone with relevant testimony or surveillance footage to come forward to help clarify the circumstances surrounding the shootout.
