Clinton Yoshio Koga, a 39-year-old from Brentwood, was found dead in Tomales Bay by a dive team on Wednesday. He had gone missing on January 27th while fishing with friends. Despite extensive efforts by first responders, Koga was not found until a volunteer aquatic search team located him approximately 100 yards from the shore of Lawson’s Landing.
Koga was remembered by friends as a kind and welcoming person who always spread positive vibes. One friend shared that Koga was the first person to make him feel at home when he moved to Northern California. Another thanked him for the laughs and memories, saying he would miss him dearly.
The cause of death is still under investigation by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. The search was described as difficult due to the tidal current, but the volunteers involved are being thanked for bringing Koga home.
