Three men arrested for sexual abuse of children in underground bunker

BRENT, AL – An unsettling discovery has led to the arrest of three individuals in Bibb County, where authorities allege a series of child abuse incidents occurred in an underground bunker. This investigation, still unfolding, has left the community grappling with questions and concerns.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office initiated the probe on February 4, following reports of child abuse linked to the site near Brent. Since then, multiple felony charges, including rape, human trafficking, and kidnapping, have been filed against the accused.

Court records paint a partial picture of the alleged crimes, which reportedly took place between January 2024 and early 2025. At least five children, all under 12, are believed to be victims. William McIlroy is accused of inappropriate conduct, while Dalton Terrell allegedly confessed to unlawful sexual activity. Andreas Trejos Velasquez faces charges related to distributing explicit images and facilitating contacts between victims and others.

Despite the charges, many details remain undisclosed. Authorities have not provided information on how the children were identified or if additional individuals were involved. Attempts to gain further insight from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office were unsuccessful, as Sheriff Jody Wade was unavailable for comment.

Residents express deep concern over the revelations, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding children and preventing future incidents. The arrests have prompted discussions on community safety and vigilance.

As the investigation continues, the three suspects remain in custody at the Bibb County Jail. The community awaits further developments, seeking answers to lingering questions.
