Three friends found frozen to death in backyard after watching football game

KANSAS CITY, MO – A Missouri man, identified as Jordan Willis, has been left puzzled over the mysterious deaths of three men in the backyard of his rental property. Willis’s attorney, John Picerno, stated that Willis was totally uncertain about how his friends died and eagerly awaits the findings of the autopsy and toxicology report.

On January 7, after the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the three friends visited Willis’s residence. Picerno asserts that the last time Willis saw the men was when they left his house and he went to bed. Further, Willis didn’t know that friends and family were looking for the men until the police contacted him.

A woman looking for her fiance two days later discovered a body on Willis’s porch. The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) reported that after responding to the woman’s call, they also came across the dead body. However, upon further investigation, two additional dead bodies were found in the backyard.

According to the KCPD, no obvious signs of foul play were observed at or near the crime scene. Because of this, there was no suspicion of foul play.

Picerno, in the meantime, stated that Willis was unaware when or how the men died, or how or when they left his house. He was not informed that they had stayed in his backyard. When the police arrived at Willis’s rental property, his attorney said he let them into the house, shared with them all he knew, and voluntarily enabled them to search his home.

Two of the victims’ cars were street parked, something William’s fiancee, who found the first body, had found suspicious. However, Picerno argued that friends leaving their cars overnight at Willis’s property was not unusual. As the KCPD classified the case as a “death investigation,” Willis is not facing charges. According to the KCPD, there have been no arrests or charges and nobody is in custody.

Picerno noted that Willis, having known them for over 20 years, is deeply saddened by their passing and is eagerly seeking answers to the mystery surrounding their deaths.
