Three found dead from gunshot wounds

Early Thursday morning, the Andover Police Department received a distress call that resulted in the discovery of three deceased individuals suffering from gunshot wounds at a $2 million residence located at 48 Porter Road. Authorities report that the victims are a 56-year-old father, a 55-year-old mother, and their 12-year-old son. The call was made from inside the home, and officers had to breach two doors to gain access.

Essex District Attorney Paul F. Tucker assured the public that there is no threat to the community, stating that the scene is contained to the single residence. The investigation is active and ongoing, involving the Andover Police Department, the Essex County District Attorney’s Office State Police Detective Unit, and other units of the Massachusetts State Police.

The identity of the victims has not yet been released by authorities. The 12-year-old was a student at St. John’s Prep, a Catholic school for young men in grades 6-12 located in Danvers, Massachusetts, which charges a tuition of $31,000 per year. Classes at the school have been canceled for the day.
