SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 15-year-old boy is in custody after allegedly stabbing two family members, including his grandmother, on the east side of San Antonio. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when police say the teenager attacked his 63-year-old grandmother, injuring her head and hand, before fleeing the scene.
Authorities responded promptly, and the grandmother was transported to a hospital where she remains in stable condition. Based on her information, officials suspected the teen might be hiding nearby. However, Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies located him at a strip mall about an hour later.
The teenager is also accused of stabbing another relative, who chose not to press charges. Despite this, he faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with separate charges filed by Bexar County and the San Antonio Police Department.
In an unrelated incident, a woman claims self-defense after fatally shooting a man at the Knights Inn on East Houston Street. The confrontation occurred in the early hours when, according to the woman, the man began assaulting her. She reportedly grabbed a gun and fired several shots, resulting in the man’s death. The woman, who also sustained a gunshot wound to her arm, was taken to the hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
