State Fair of Texas evacuated after shooting injures three

DALLAS, TX – Chaos erupted at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas on Saturday night when a shooting took place. The unexpected gunfire led to the evacuation of the fairgrounds. According to the Dallas Police Department, the incident unfolded around 7:45 p.m. in the fair’s food court.

Preliminary investigations suggest that one man fired at another, resulting in three individuals sustaining gunshot wounds. Fortunately, the injuries are reported as non-life-threatening, although the precise conditions of the victims have not been disclosed at this time.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, leading to the apprehension of a suspect who attempted to flee. Additionally, authorities recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.

Both the Dallas Police Department and the State Fair of Texas confirmed the evacuation through social media channels. As a precautionary measure, fairgoers were directed to leave the area while the police initiated their investigation.

Dallas City Council member Adam Bazaldua, representing the district encompassing the fairgrounds, indicated that he had received a briefing on the situation from Dallas City Manager T.C. Broadnax. Bazaldua suggested that the shooting involved two individuals who were acquainted with each other.
