Single mother of two killed at ATM

WORTH, IL – A suburban Chicago single mother of two tragically lost her life at a Chase Bank ATM on Saturday. The incident occurred in Worth, Illinois, where local law enforcement responded to a distress call at the bank branch. Upon arrival, they discovered a woman who had been fatally shot.

The victim was later identified as Jonnie Angel Kleins, a devoted mother to her 15-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter. Kleins also served as a caretaker for her own mother. Two suspects, believed to be connected to a series of armed robberies in the Chicago area, were apprehended by the police.

Kleins was remembered by her family as a tireless provider, a beacon of kindness, and an individual who touched lives with her humility and love. A GoFundMe page set up by the family in her memory described her as a “warrior that never gave up,” and someone who “shone God’s light into so many people’s lives without even knowing it.”

Prior to the tragic incident, Kleins was reportedly walking with her children. The family’s statement also shared their belief that, despite her untimely departure, Kleins’ love will continue to live on through her children.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing potential charges related to the case. The specifics of the fatal incident have not been disclosed by the authorities.
