On Monday night in South Los Angeles, an unexpected act of violence harmed an innocent child – a one-year-old girl. The toddler fell victim to a shooting near a local hamburger joint.
Responding to an assault report around 6 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department came to the scene of the shooting.
They discovered the young victim outside Monster Burger, a popular local restaurant. Preliminary reports say that the shooting happened just past 5:30 p.m., leaving the toddler with a gunshot wound to her foot.
According to authorities, the girl’s injuries weren’t life-threatening. However, police have yet to provide additional information about the specifics of the incident.
The alleged perpetrators are two males thoughtto be in their twenties. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the pair fleeing in a silver Kia vehicle with a Texas license plate.
The motive behind the crime remains is unknown. An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing while the LAPD pursues the alleged perpetrators.
