Police investigating sexual assault claim against NFL quarterback

DALLAS, TX – A sexual assault allegation involving Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, is currently under investigation. The incident, which reportedly took place in 2017 outside a strip club, was brought to light when the woman involved filed a complaint this past Wednesday.

In a surprising turn of events, Prescott also filed a lawsuit on Monday against the woman who accused him. According to Prescott, the woman had demanded a hefty sum of money in exchange for her silence regarding the alleged assault. The lawsuit reveals that the woman’s lawyers sent a letter to Prescott in January, demanding $100 million to keep quiet about the accusations.

Prescott, who was a rookie in the Cowboys in 2017, the year of the alleged assault, vehemently denies the accusations. The 30-year-old quarterback has launched a countersuit against the woman for $1 million. Prescott’s legal team has categorically denied the claims.

Prescott’s attorney, Levi McCathern, issued a statement expressing Prescott’s empathy for survivors of sexual assault and his belief in justice for such crimes. He emphasized that Prescott has never engaged in nonconsensual sexual conduct and that the defendant’s attempt to extort millions from Prescott will not be tolerated.

The woman’s attorney has stated that Prescott acknowledged being with the woman on the night of the alleged incident. Prescott, who was a fourth-round draft pick in 2016, has just completed his eighth season with the Cowboys, leading the team to a 12-5 record and an NFC East win.
