Old woman killed by man driving stolen forklift

A 73-year-old woman tragically lost her life in Waldorf, Maryland, after being struck by a stolen forklift in a Home Depot parking lot. The suspect, Bryce Caleb Timothy Brown, a 20-year-old resident of Waldorf, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, theft, and other related offenses. The incident occurred on Sunday, prompting a swift response from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were alerted to a burglary in progress at a Lowe’s store on Crain Highway around 12:40 a.m. When officers came to the scene, the suspect had already fled. Investigators believe that Brown broke into the store, stole a forklift, and forcefully drove it through the rear gates. He then proceeded to drive the stolen vehicle approximately half a mile north to a Home Depot parking lot.

In the Home Depot parking lot, Brown allegedly rammed the stolen forklift into a parked vehicle. Inside the car was Gloristine Pinkney, a woman from Waldorf who was asleep at the time. Startled by the collision, Pinkney exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. Tragically, Brown pursued her and ran her over with the stolen forklift. Police discovered Pinkney’s lifeless body beneath the forklift, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have determined that there was no prior connection between Brown and Pinkney.

After running over Pinkney, Brown fled the scene in her car. However, investigators swiftly identified him as the suspect and apprehended him at his residence later that Sunday evening. Pinkney’s vehicle was found nearby. Brown is currently being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center. The investigation into this horrific incident is ongoing.

Bryce Caleb Timothy Brown, the suspect in this case, has been charged with first-degree murder and other serious offenses. As the investigation continues, authorities are committed to seeking justice for Pinkney and ensuring the safety of the community.
