Mom of four killed in domestic violence dispute

MISSOURI CITY, MO – The family of a slain mother of four is seeking justice in a tragic case of domestic violence. Jameka Williams was fatally shot in her home Friday night, allegedly by her ex-boyfriend in the presence of her children, according to family members. The news of Jameka’s death was devastating for the family. Jaterra Williams recounted her niece calling her and crying, and that her niece said, “My daddy just killed momma.”

The Houston police department has yet to release the identity of the suspect. However, Jameka’s family attributes the fatal shooting to a domestic dispute with her former partner. According to them, the incident unfolded while Jameka was preparing to head out with a friend that night. According to Jaterra, the man had been making disturbing verbal threats and saying, “Today’s going to be the day,” she disclosed.

According to the children present at the scene, the man reportedly fled in Jameka’s car after the horrific act while expressing his disbelief at the grim situation. Despite the history of verbal threats between the couple, Jameka’s family reported that there was never any physical violence before the tragic incident.

A vigil and balloon release were held on Monday night in Jameka’s honor, where friends and family paid their respects. Her brother referred to her as the missing piece in their family, while her father, Jimmie Williams, expressed his devastation, trying to hold up for the family.

With no arrests made as of Monday, the Houston Police Department is still investigating the case. The family is hopeful of an arrest soon, voicing concerns about their safety. A GoFundMe account has been set up by Jameka’s family to assist with funeral costs.
