Craig Tomasetti, 47, a father of four, was reported missing after he had failed to pick up his daughter from soccer practice on Thursday, April 13th.
His family members had known that he was suffering from some undefined personal issues, and wanted to talk to his father about it, though his father was out golfing at the time. Locust Pike and Decoursey Avenue in Covington, Kentucky, his phone’s last known location, was girdled by a vigilant search by local officials, though the efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.
The sad resolution to the story came on Tuesday, April 18th, at 12:30 am, when his van was discovered submerged in the Licking River, and he was discovered dead inside. The Covington Police Department, Midwest Equusearch, and Boone County Water Rescue showed true dedication throughout the search, a commitment we hope is recognized in the face of this tragedy…
His children, ranging from 6 to 18-years-old, are now left with a form of emptiness, sadness and heartbreak felt by those who are left in the wake of a lost loved one. To support the family during this trying time, a GoFundMe has been set up.
The sudden death of Craig Tomasetti has been met with shock and sadness by his friends and family. We can only hope that the family can find some peace and comfort as they grieve in this hard period. The Covington Police Department, Midwest Equusearch, and Boone County Water Rescue should be commended for their tireless efforts to help find him.
