CALHOUN, GA – Two Georgia school staff members, who were once inseparable friends, now find themselves at the center of a scandal involving alleged sexual misconduct with male students. Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler, both employees of Calhoun City Schools, are accused of engaging in inappropriate relationships with students between October 2021 and January 2022.
According to authorities, Greeson allegedly had sexual relations with two students, while Shuler was involved with one student during the same timeframe. The ages of the students have not been revealed.
The duo, who often showcased their close friendship online, are now facing first-degree charges of sexual contact by an employee. If found guilty, each could face a maximum of 25 years in prison or a $100,000 fine. It is still unclear whether they were teaching staff or held other positions within the school district.
Greeson and Shuler’s bond extended beyond their professional lives, with Greeson acting as Shuler’s maid of honor at her wedding in November 2022, shortly after the alleged incidents. Shuler returned the favor by being Greeson’s maid of honor at her wedding in October 2023.
Greeson, who graduated from Calhoun High School and later from Kennesaw State University, had previously expressed her views on the pressures of academic grading on social media. Despite her arrest, she remains visible on her husband’s Facebook page, where he posted a supportive message quoting scripture. Conversely, Shuler’s marriage seems to have dissolved following the accusations.
Both women were detained and processed at Gordon County Jail before being released on bond. Calhoun City Schools has yet to issue a statement regarding the situation.
