Man wanted for murder of his wife by U.S. Marshalls

The US Marshal Service is now involved in the investigation of Kevin Watson, the ex-husband of the missing Tennessee mother of three, Britney Watson, who is believed to have been killed.

The Haywood County Sheriff’s Department reported the disappearance of 34-year-old Britney on Sunday, after she was last seen on January 7th in a motel located on Interstate 40 in Jackson, Tennessee.

On Thursday, the USMS Memphis issued a tweet, offering a reward of $5,000 for the apprehension of Kevin Watson, who is wanted for First Degree Murder. It was also mentioned that Watson might be on foot in the rural area of Haywood County and should be considered armed and dangerous.

On Thursday morning, the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department continued their search for Britney and Kevin with the aid of cadaver dogs and ATV vehicles.

According to Sheriff Billy Garrett Jr., they plan to organize a volunteer search group on Friday in order to re-check the area. Garrett also informed Fox News that the authorities possess evidence that suggests Kevin, who is a person of interest in the disappearance and murder of his former wife, might be in possession of a weapon and potentially suicidal.

The couple separated four years ago and were trying to rekindle their relationship, although they had been facing some domestic issues.

Garrett expressed his gratitude to the Haywood community for the support, calls and prayers, and asked that they remember the three children and the extended family during this difficult time. He also requested people to respect their need for privacy and show compassion.
