Man stabbed to death at Burger King

DES PLAINES, IL – Authorities are actively hunting for a suspect involved in a deadly stabbing incident at a local Burger King. The grisly event occurred on Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. at the fast-food outlet located on the 800 block of South Elmhurst Road. It was reported that two men engaged in a heated disagreement inside the Burger King, resulting in one man receiving multiple stab wounds. Despite being quickly transported to a nearby hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Eyewitnesses recounted seeing the victim attempting to escape from his attacker but was tripped and subsequently stabbed while on the floor. The suspect, who remains unidentified, managed to flee the scene before the police arrived and was last spotted sprinting towards the north along South Elmhurst Road.

Authorities have yet to establish what sparked the fatal altercation, and no description of the suspect is available currently. However, they are optimistic that there is likely surveillance footage from Burger King and surrounding businesses, which could aid in identifying the alleged perpetrator.

As the Des Plaines police wrapped up their on-site inquiries Thursday morning, crime scene tape could still be seen cordoning off the parking lot as officers continue with their investigation.

Des Plaines Police Department encourages anyone with information that could clarify the circumstances surrounding this incident to get in touch with them.
