Couple mysteriously found dead inside home

CHICAGO, IL – A vigilant neighbor’s tip-off to Chicago law enforcement led authorities to a grim scene early Wednesday morning. They found a deceased couple at the home, triggering an ongoing investigation. The police identified the deceased individuals as Miguel Guzman Chavez, 70, and Victoria Guzman Perez, 66, both inhabitants of the N. Central Park Ave. block 3300.

Fellow residents in the locality were not remiss in expressing their sorrow. Fernando Garcia, a neighbor, fondly remembered the couple, stating they were always ready to lend a hand and had previously gifted his mother with flowers and poinsettias.

The investigation set off on Tuesday night, following the police’s response to a well-being check at a property near Central Park Ave.’s intersection with Henderson St. in Avondale, around 9:15 p.m. A tenant there displayed anxiety about their neighboring living quarters, instigating a police check into the household.

Upon entering the property through the back door, the police found the lifeless bodies of Guzman Perez and Guzman Chavez inside the building. The exact duration of the couple’s demise remains unknown. Neighbor Jorge Bahena expressed his shock at the couple’s unexpected passing, reminiscing about how they took turns to walk their dogs outside.

The police have clarified that they found no indications of inflicted harm on the bodies. The investigation into the incident will continue, steered by the detectives from Area Five.
