Man randomly stabs four girls at AMC theater

BRAINTREE, MA – A suspect is currently in custody following an unexpected stabbing assault in a Braintree, Massachusetts, movie theatre. The attack left four girls aged between 9 and 17 injured on Saturday, according to the police. This transpired into a subsequent vehicle chase in Sandwich, around 45 miles from Braintree.

The AMC Braintree 10 theater complex witnessed the seemingly unprovoked attack, with the assailant trespassing on the site and entering a theater without purchasing a ticket. Here, the suspect encountered the four underage females and embarked on a sudden, unwarranted knife attack, according to the Braintree Police Department.

The girls, who were promptly taken to hospitals in the Boston vicinity, endured non-fatal injuries. However, their exact conditions remain undisclosed. Concerningly, it is suggested that the assailant might be associated with similar hostile actions in Plymouth, situated around 30 miles south of Braintree.

Security footage and other evidence allowed the authorities to identify the black SUV utilized by the suspect, including the vehicle’s license plate number.

The Massachusetts State Police were engaged in a pursuit of the SUV, which culminated in a crash and subsequent detention of the suspect. The suspect’s identity and potential injuries incurred from the crash remain unconfirmed at this stage.
