The girl was fatally struck by a car while riding her scooter in a housing complex driveway near Broadway and Horne.
Mesa Police Department revealed that after analyzing surveillance footage, it was confirmed that the driver had remained at the scene. The footage depicted a man in an F-150 truck turning into the driveway against the sun, and subsequently hitting the child before parking at the back of the building.
