Man gets run over by car while mowing neighbor’s lawn

SPRINGTOWN, TX – A North Texas man sustained severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle while mowing his neighbor’s lawn in Springtown, situated northwest of Fort Worth. The incident occurred on Monday along Ross Lane when Danny Adams, known for his goodwill in mowing lawns for free, was tragically hit and thrown approximately 34 feet by the impact.

Adams was rushed by air to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. As of Friday, his wife, Michelea Adams, shared the extent of his injuries. He is currently recovering from a brain bleed, multiple fractures in his back and legs, and a fractured hip. She recounted the shocking moment, expressing gratitude for his survival despite the severity of his injuries.

The incident unfolded as a neighbor heard the collision and discovered Adams on the ground, promptly calling 911 and notifying Michelea, who was away at the time. The driver remained present at the scene following the accident. However, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office has yet to provide details on what led to the collision or confirm if any charges will be filed.

Michelea urged caution on rural roads in response to increased accidents in their community. Meanwhile, the Adams family is mobilizing support through a GoFundMe campaign in order to help cover medical expenses, as Danny is uninsured.

Adams’s sister, Vivian Steinly, praised her brother’s altruistic nature, highlighting his devotion to helping others and his unwavering faith. “He’s just a Good Samaritan,” she emphasized, expressing hope in the face of adversity.

The community is rallying around the family as they navigate this challenging time, hoping for Danny’s full recovery and asking for prayers and assistance to meet the mounting medical costs.
