Man found dead inside his truck outside of hotel

In a significant development, Conyers Police have apprehended two teenage suspects believed to be involved in a shooting incident that resulted in a man’s death in his truck, parked outside a local hotel.

The law enforcement agency disclosed the arrests via their official Facebook page.

The initial call was received at around 6:20 a.m. on a recent Sunday, directing officers to the Intown Suites located at 1125 Northlake Drive, where a suspicious vehicle was reported. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Newton County resident Dontavious Hardeman, deceased in his truck, having sustained multiple gunshot injuries.

According to police reports, Quintavious Morgan, 17, was apprehended on Tuesday at an apartment complex in DeKalb County. In addition, a 15-year-old male was surrendered to the police by his parents on the preceding Monday.

Following the shooting, the police had released images of persons of interest, who were later confirmed to be the two arrested teenagers.

Morgan is now facing murder charges and is currently detained at Rockdale County Jail, while the 15-year-old is being held at a juvenile detention center.

Despite making these arrests, the authorities emphasized that the investigation is ongoing.
