Man brings a child to rob bank inside Walmart store

FORT WORTH, TX – The FBI is seeking assistance from the public to identify a man who committed a bank robbery with a child accompanying him. The incident occurred on June 6th at a First Convenience Bank branch located inside a Walmart store in Fort Worth, Texas.

As reported by officials, the man, who they believe is between 35 and 45 years old, entered the bank with a child seated in a shopping cart. He approached the teller counter and handed them a note demanding cash. After acquiring an undisclosed amount of money, the man proceeded to leave, pushing the cart with the child towards the exit. He then made his escape, carrying the child in his arms.

Reacting to the news, Fort Worth residents expressed shock and confusion. Flora Chavez, a local shopper, could not understand why a child would be involved in such a crime. She added that the incident raised alarming questions about the individual. Another resident, Shirley Ingram, was equally stunned. She thought the robber might have used the presence of the child to discourage anyone from shooting, thereby using the young one as a shield.

The FBI released a description of the suspect involved. Authorities depict him as a white male, approximately 5’7″ to 5’9″ in height with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a multicolored fishing shirt, khaki cargo shorts, HeyDude shoes, a baseball cap, and black sunglasses.

Walmart has not yet commented on the incident. Residents with any information are urged to contact FBI Dallas.
