Four-year-old killed in targeted shooting rampage

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A deadly shooting in San Antonio left a 4-year-old girl dead and four others critically wounded, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar confirmed. Late Wednesday evening, unidentified attackers fired an estimated 30 rounds into the victims’ townhome.

The home housed the girl, her 7-year-old and 8-year-old siblings, and their parents. The horrifying incident was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance equipment. All victims were urgently transported to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, with the 4-year-old girl later succumbing to her injuries. The status of the other four victims remains undisclosed, according to a representative from the sheriff’s department.

As of Friday, law enforcement had not publicly named the shooter, and no arrests had been made relating to the incident. Sheriff Salazar, however, has stated that several individuals of interest are currently under investigation. Based on the information available, it is believed that the assailant was familiar with the victims.

The released footage highlights two masked assailants approaching the townhome in a vehicle, possibly an Infiniti sedan. After parking next to a white box truck, the two men unload a hail of bullets from semi-automatic rifles into the building before hastily retreating to their vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The sheriff’s department revealed that more than 30 shell casings were discovered within the vicinity, indicating the level of firepower used in the attack.
