Four teens killed after collision with pole

BILLINGS, MT – A tragic car accident in Billings, Montana’s largest city, has claimed the lives of four teenagers. The single-vehicle crash occurred in an industrial area, with authorities attributing the accident to excessive speed, non-use of seatbelts, and possibly alcohol.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of a Saturday morning when the vehicle skidded off the road, causing the driver to lose control and strike a large metal pole that supported a sign for a stockyard. Two of the teenagers died at the scene, while the other two, critically injured, were transported to a hospital where they later passed away.

The victims, two girls aged 14 and two boys aged 17 and 18, have not been identified publicly. A humble memorial, adorned with flowers and notes, was erected at the crash site on Sunday, with the community expressing their grief and condolences.

Ryan Pitman, a friend of the victims, shared that he had dropped the two girls at the 18-year-old’s house earlier that night. He was on his way back to pick up the three younger victims when he was involved in a car accident. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old was driving the two girls and the fourth victim home when they met with the fatal crash.

Pitman, also 17, was receiving treatment at the hospital following his accident. Remembering his friends, he said, “They were all great.”
