MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL — Authorities investigated two separate incidents in northeast Miami-Dade after a person was killed in a hit-and-run and a shooting victim was brought to the same area, according to reports Tuesday.
The investigations unfolded Monday night and initially raised questions about whether the shooting and the reported traffic collision were connected. Authorities later described them as separate incidents, with investigators working to determine what happened in each case.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office investigated the hit-and-run after a person was struck by a vehicle. The victim died, turning the case into a fatal traffic investigation.
