City bus crashes into building

A significant accident occurred in Baltimore when a public bus collided with two cars, subsequently crashing into a building. Seventeen individuals were injured in this incident, and two are said to be in critical condition, according to a representative from the Baltimore Police.

The incident took place at around 10:20 in the morning. Law enforcement officers arrived on the scene near West Franklin Street, where the bus had ended up inside a building.

Preliminary findings by the police reveal that the bus first collided with a Lexus, then a Nissan, before ultimately slamming into a building.

It’s reported that between 10 to 15 individuals involved in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals, as stated by the Maryland Transit Administration.

The investigation of the crash is ongoing. The Maryland Transit Administration Police are working alongside the Baltimore Police Department and the Fire Department to determine the cause. As of now, the reason behind the accident remains unclear.

According to reports, the building into which the bus crashed had to be evacuated by fire department personnel. Officials assured that building occupants would be able to return later in the day.
