Cab driver gets slashed in the neck by crazy passenger

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A city-based taxi driver suffered a non-lethal but severe injury after a female passenger slashed his neck at the culmination of a ride from Manhattan to Queens. The woman who engaged in the vicious and unprovoked attack is currently at large, according to police.

Authorities released a photo of the alleged attacker, hoping to garner valuable leads from the public. The assault occurred in the early hours of February 11th, even as the 29-year-old taxi driver was about to conclude the ride on 23rd Avenue near 89th Street, East Elmhurst.

As reported, the passenger denied paying the cab fare and instead chose to slash the driver’s neck. She then swiftly exited the taxi and fled east on the same 23rd Avenue. The injured taxi driver was rushed to the Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he is now reported to be stable.

The wanted woman was last seen wearing pink pants, a white shirt, and white boots. She was also carrying a distinctive yellow handbag. She has long, wavy dark hair, as identified from a captured surveillance photo.
