A convicted felon on probation murders three people

FONTANA, CA – Louis Peter Hernandez, a 41-year-old man with a criminal past, is in the spotlight once more as he faces multiple murder charges in California. Authorities report that Hernandez, a convicted felon on probation, allegedly embarked on a deadly shooting spree, killing his current and former girlfriends in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The tragic series of events began on November 25 in Fontana, where Hernandez allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend and another person in a residence. He then reportedly journeyed to Riverside County, where he is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend.

Adding to the grim tally, there is an ongoing investigation into a fourth gunshot victim who was allegedly involved in an altercation with Hernandez. The victim is currently recovering in the hospital.

Known to law enforcement as a gang member with a history of violence, Hernandez was on probation and under post-release community supervision at the time of the alleged shootings.

He has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of assault with a firearm, with additional charges pending in relation to the fourth gunshot victim.

Authorities have also leveled special allegations against Hernandez for prior felonies and special circumstances, potentially paving the way for a capital murder case.
